Today we talked about our towns, hobbies and favourite foods. We also practised pronouncing the sounds: ‘th’, ‘w’, ‘s’, ‘v’, ‘L’, ‘R’. We learnt a few words today including:
Chrysanthemum
Groceries 
Impressive
Intestines
We also learnt that: ‘Close by and ‘close to’ are similar
‘Right and ‘write’ sound the same but have different meanings
Grocery shopping = food shopping 
Japanese and English names are different. Australian names come from everywhere. 
Home town:
In Melbourne, there is a landmark called the Yarra River
Yokohama city has a hotel that is a famous landmark

In Melbourne, we have a lot of Graffiti Art. ‘I don’t like graffiti, I prefer white walls’
Food:
 What is your favourite food? Udon and Soba and I like fried chicken on the side. I also like deep-fried bean curd. - Do you cook a lot? Everyday. - Does your Husband cook? Sometimes
