192019.12一石二鳥って英語で言える!? View this post on Instagram 英語の諺を知ってビックリ。意外と日本のことわざと通じるとこがあって!!一石二鳥Two birds with one stone!そのままやん!(笑) This morning's class we were treated to homemade apple pies and coffee with matcha cookies. Very tasty! We chatted about: Daredevils: people who enjoy dangerous and often life threatening things The saying -'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree' to describe when children follow their parents jobs or hobbies or actions Barbaric - very very cruel and seen as primitive e.g. dog fighting for many is seen as barbaric but is still allowed legally in Japan! Harvesting - collection of food/crop The saying 'reach for the starts' which means to reach and strive towards ones dreams Puns - a type of joke that uses words in a sentence that sounds alike e.g. I love you from my head tomatoes :D A post shared by The English Club (@englishclub.jp) on Dec 19, 2019 at 12:20am PST The English ClubThe English Clubでは国際交流館としてゲストハウス、シェアハウス運営の他、岡山県備前市を中心に過疎化防止の為の地域再生、国籍、年齢、性別を超えて繋がる事の出来る国際交流事業を運営しています。フォロー2019.12.25 13:24Chestnut roast by Jenny.2019.12.19 13:50英語のことわざ!似!日本のことわざ!0コメント1000 / 1000投稿
